Together, We Keep Children in School
Your support gives a child the chance to learn, grow, and dream again.
A small contribution removes barriers, protects dreams, and changes a life forever.
Our Story
ESO began in 2010 with a simple belief: no child should lose their future because of financial hardship. What started as a small stipend for a handful of students has grown into a long-term support program that has helped more than 19 students continue their education across multiple institutions, including Bharateswari Homes.
We work closely with families, teachers, and communities to ensure that every supported student stays in school, receives guidance, and has the opportunity to thrive.
Our Mission
To ensure that children from vulnerable families can continue their education without interruption — empowering them to build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
Our Vision
A Bangladesh where every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
Our History
ESO’s journey is a story of friendship, solidarity, and a shared belief that no child should lose their future because of financial hardship. Here is how it all began — and how it continues.
2015 — The Spark of Solidarity
Members of the SSC 1994 batch of Bharateswari Homes reunited and discovered a friend in crisis. On May 15, 2015, fourteen friends met — nine in person and five online — and decided to help. This moment planted the seed for ESO.
July 2015 — First Organized Support
On July 24, 2015, the group agreed to provide a fixed monthly stipend to the friend in need. This marked the beginning of structured, collective action — the earliest form of ESO’s support model.
September 2015 — First Committee Formed
An interim executive committee of nine members was formed, supported by 18 founding members. Regular meetings began, strengthening unity and purpose.
2016–2018 — Growth Through Friendship
ESO expanded its activities: fundraising, educational scholarships, and emergency support. In 2018, during the retreat “Aye Mon Rong Chhorai,” new dedicated members joined, giving the initiative fresh energy.
2019 — Institutionalization Begins
On August 15, 2019, a 13-member executive committee was formally established. The first Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on December 25, 2019, marking a major step toward formal governance.
2019 — Choosing the Name “ESO”
During the 23rd meeting, members voted on several name proposals. The winning name — Education & Solidarity Organization (ESO) — was proposed by Ms. Nasrin Akhter Dolly and unanimously approved.
2020 — Registration Journey Begins
ESO initiated the registration process with the Department of Social Services. Progress slowed due to the COVID 19 pandemic, but the commitment remained strong.
July 4, 2022 — Official Registration
ESO received its official registration certificate (Registration No. Dh 09944), marking its transition from a volunteer driven initiative to a formally recognized nonprofit organization.
2023–Present — Expanding Impact
ESO continues to strengthen its stipend program, community support initiatives, volunteer networks, and governance systems — supporting children and families across Bangladesh.
