Lala Non-Government Primary School stands in a small tin-shed building—four classrooms, one toilet, and very limited facilities. The structure is old and fragile; every day the children attend classes under a roof that desperately needs repair. There is no library, no digital learning space, no Liberation War corner. Yet, within these humble walls, dreams are taking shape. Despite countless limitations, the teachers continue to nurture young minds with unwavering dedication. This little school has become the center of hope and possibility for the entire community.
When we first visited this school in the serene landscape of Sylhet, one thought touched our hearts deeply: These children deserve so much better. And that is where ESO’s new humanitarian journey begins.
Today, more than 140 students study here. Many come from economically challenged families. For them, the school is not just a place to learn—it is a safe haven, a space where they can dream, grow, and see the world with new possibilities. But under a deteriorated tin roof and in cramped classrooms without essential learning facilities, their dreams often struggle to breathe. It is a quiet, everyday battle they fight with resilience.
ESO has chosen to stand beside them in this journey.
To ensure that the children can learn safely and with dignity, we have already initiated essential renovation work. But we know this is only the beginning. Our long-term vision is much bigger—
To rebuild the school completely.
To transform it into a modern, technology-friendly, child-centered learning space where every student can flourish with confidence.
This initiative is more than just a development project; it is a symbol of humanity, compassion, and our belief in equal opportunities for every child. We want these children to grow up with pride, with hope, and with the belief that their dreams matter.
Together, we can turn this small school into a powerful beginning of change.
From here may rise tomorrow’s teacher, doctor, poet, or leader.
From here may begin a brighter future for families, for the community, and for generations to come.
